Augusta Coating & Manufacturing (ACM) started operations in Raleigh, N.C., in 1970 under the Blue Dot trade name, primarily providing parts and service to aftermarket golf and utility vehicle industry. In 2002, the company sold its Raleigh operation and the Blue Dot trade name to focus its efforts on the growth of its OEM business, which it began in 1997. The company also installed coating equipment in its new facilities in Thomson, Ga., which permitted ACM) to provide high quality coatings for metal parts.
ACM primarily services the golf, transportation, automotive, agricultural and recreational vehicle sectors. Coating services include pre-treating coating, e-coating and powder coating.
Fabrication services include design engineering assistance, tube bending, robotic welding, acrylic fabrication, kitting, assembly and packaging. Many of these services are combined to offer customers turnkey solutions and create a single source contact point. Club Car canopies and windshields are examples of ACM fabrication projects.
